How Does It Work?

Setting up Campaigns

You start by creating advertising campaigns based on your game's target audience. Your game is automatically organized based on your game's genre, age rating, and price.

Keyword Targeting

The only thing you will need to decide how you will reach your audience is selecting keywords.

We offer different keyword match types (broad, phrase, exact) that control how close a user's search query needs to match your keyword for your ad to appear.

Bidding

When you start your campaign, you're bidding on the genre, age rating, price, and the keywords you selected, telling us how much you're willing to pay for a click on your ad when someone searches for games similar to the criteria.

Auction

When someone enters an area that includes your categories or keywords, the auction begins. The auction evaluates all the ads bidding on the few categories.

For example, if someone is in horror games, the auction includes all bidding horror games. If someone wants all games under $15, the auction includes all bidding games under $15.

If someone wants all games that are both horror and under $15, it will only get all games that include both. If there are none that are specific enough, it will promote ads that have the most under the criteria.

Ad Rank and Winning the Auction

Your ad rank is determined by bid amount and relevancy. Ads with the highest ad rank win the auction and are displayed on the dedicated ad placements on each page.

Cost-Per-Click (CPC)

You set a maximum bid, which is the highest amount you're willing to pay for a single click on your ad. The actual amount you pay is influenced by the Ad Rank of the advertiser below you. You will only pay the minimum amount needed to maintain your ad position.

Ad placements

Ads will not be placed on any game pages. These ads will only be placed on every other page. At most, each page will include three ads.
