Monetization
You can easily monetize games on the platform. Once you've created your game page, you can earn through the following methods:
Game Purchases
You can set this before you ever publish the page. Probably one of the most obvious. This is the main game file that your game page is focused around. This is a one-time purchase and can be set as free.
DLC & Extra Content
You can have up to 3 files of additional content for your game, but none of them can be free.
These can also be set as 'Limiteds' which are only there for a limited amount of time or there for the first set number of people who purchase it.
Keeping Track
You can keep track of your earnings on your Developer Dashboard.
Your earnings can be viewed either by gross income or net income. You can also view the income of each game individually and sort them by income.
Refunding on Ouzox
You get to choose the way your games are refunded. Whether you want your games to be fully refundable or partially refundable, you get to choose that.
Refunds are completely streamlined and can be requested with no questions asked.
If your game is faulty or significantly different from how it's advertised, users are entitled to a full refund, regardless of the policy you set. Additionally, if your game is reported for one of both of those reasons, it can be taken down.
Basic Structure
Here is what you can change:
Timeframe: How long after purchase a refund can be requested (e.g., 3 weeks, 30 days)
Refund Amount: Full refund or partial refund (percentage)
Minimum Standards:
24-hour Window: At least 24 hours where the user can refund the game
25% Minimum Refund: At least a 25% money-back guarantee
Transparency and Clarity
Each game's refund policy is clearly displayed before attempting to purchase the game. The user cannot continue the purchase until they agree to the policy.
The policy is also displayed on the game's information page.
Policy Changes
You can change your refund policy through your game page, but there are some restrictions:
No Retroactive Changes: Policy changes only apply to future purchases, not those already made.
Default
A refund policy is a requirement for your game. If you cannot think of one, there are some presets and examples you can choose from before you upload your game. Here are some:
Standard
14 days
Full Refund
Limited
7 days
50% Refund
